It doesn't take long to hear the term "collection," "art collection" or art collector in the art world. What do those terms mean? We ask Karen Comer-Lowe, Jerry Thomas and Miya Bailey to help us find out.

Karen Comer-Low is an adjunct Professor at Spelman College where she teaches visual arts. She’s also a curator at the Rialto, an art buyer and more.

Jerry Thomas is an art collector and archivist of African-American art based in Atlanta, Ga.

Miya Bailey is a founder and owner of City of Ink Tattoo shop in Castleberry Hill, Atlanta. He is also a sculptor, painter and illustrator.

What does an artist look like?

Have you ever seen someone on the street or in a class and thought, "THAT person looks creative?" I have. Carla hadn't. But we wondered if there was a method to determining whether or not someone is creative or artistic by the way they present themself.  We were suprised with what we found.
